This is the one and only laksa that beat Gordon Ramsay in the 2013 Singtel cooking showdown. This laksa makes its fans come back for more is its extremely delicious and aromatic coconut based curry soup. The rich and thick soup will make one finish it all!
They are the only one that cut the bee hoon into shorter pieces so that one can just use a spoon to enjoy. The soup can be quite spicy for some, so opt out of the chilli which the uncle working there will ask. |

The laksa is served like a typical Katong Laksa style, with only spoon and no chopsticks. The laksa has a beautiful orange gravy, topped with generous amount of cockles and green laksa leaves.
The gravy is kept warm over a charcoal fire...this is where the difference comes in. The taste has that special kick to it which makes one bowl not enough. Be prepared to queue at lunch time. |

With $3 per bowl, you can expect ingredients full to the brim.
The broth here is thick and oil-less. It doesn’t leave an oily feeling on your lips after drinking. This makes you feel less sinful when finishing the entire bowl of soup. The coconut milk is fragrant and in a right proportion such that it doesn’t become overpowering. Do give this laksa a try and you might want to pair it with some otah from the same stall or the famous carrot cake from the same f |
